Abstract Processing Games
"To be or not to be, that is the question." - Hamlet (W. Shapespeare)
We all imagine how things look from different angles as a matter of course, but some people are better at it than others. Overall, men have an easier time than women, which may give them an advantage in some math subjects such as geometry. The difference really shows up when the angle of rotation on both axes is large, making high demands not only on visualization but working memory as well. The same processes involved in such visual gymnastics can manipulate thoughts as well, assisting in abstract thought. Games that force the user to manipulate abstract objects can help develop this skill.
Tetris ArcadeSeveral studies have shown that an old computer game standby, Tetris, can improve "mental rotation" skills which assist in abstract thought.
